Welcome to the KILI 28/8 Project!

On the 28/08/07 a group of fun loving Rotarians and Friends climbed the breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania in Africa. The climbers are still raising urgent monies to assist in the relief of some desperate situations there for orphans in Africa. We welcome any persons interested in supporting us by calling John Glassford (02) 6927 6027. The situation in Africa needs immediate help please.

Great News from Hout Bay Cape Town.

Here is a letter from the Past President of Hout Bay Rotary Butch Liebenberg.

Hello Kili Climbers

Good news re an African climber from Imizamo Yethu our informal settlement in Hout Bay(now officialy called a formal settlement)

Her name is Anna Khuzwayo. Anna is 32 years old single with no children. I mention this as most African women in South Africa, married or not, have children. She is a Zulu and speaks Xhosa and English. I found her a delightful lady to talk to and have no doubt you will all be asking her many searching questions. Anna is an AIDS counciller in Imizamo Yethu employed by and overseas NGO, ARK.

Our best wishes to all climbers from Hout Bay Rotary club.
Butch Liebenberg
